  1. Working from home is amazing but certainly has its challenges. My biggest challenge is staying motivated and keeping do deadlines. I work for myself, so I make my own deadlines. When I miss my deadline, I think to myself- no big deal, we’ll just make a new one! So yes, it’s a work in progress, one which I’m getting better at, but it takes time!

  2. Quite a detailed guide for a newbie to begin working from home. I really liked the fact that you first included some “character requirements” in order to work from home effectively. Of all the requirements I think self-discipline is key, but maybe that’s because I tend to think of my wonderful bed, at least once, every day that I work at home! 

    Just a comment regarding the data entry clerk gig. If you have any recommendations regarding this, I would be interested in reading about it. I tried it before by joining Upwork, I think, and other sites just like that but never got any job offers. Maybe that’s because I’m not from the States? I’m from Malaysia.

    • Clark is good to give a wide variety of options because what might work for and individual, not necessarily make work for you. People have a different level of their comfort zone and come from various background. That is the reason I point out a few, plus my number one recommendation which I promote all the time because I can personally help that person when they join Wealthy Affiliate.

      I use Upwork in the past and it does not matter what country you from. I live in the US and one of the best people I worked with was from the Philipines. You have to create a few contracts for you to get higher ratings on your profile so that your gig would get more exp[osure. Let me know if you need further assistance.

  3. There’s a wealth of information in this post. My daughter is thinking of working online. There’s a lot of ideas to work from. There are lots I didn’t know. I didn’t know LinkedIn or Facebook had free courses. Working virtually is vastly becoming a way of life.  It’s good to have the information on how to begin this new venture.
