How Does Nikken Work?

Nikken operates like any other MLM business model where their consultants promote and sell their products and earn commissions and bonuses. Their consultants can recruit other consultants so that when they sell products, they can earn a commission from the sales of their recruits.

Their goal is to build a downline team deep enough so that they can progress through different ranks and earn higher commissions as they recruit and build their team.

Can You Make Money With Nikken?

Yes, it is possible to make money with Nikken, but a lot of hard work is involved, and may not be suitable for everyone. There are many factors that you have to take into consideration, like the ability of the consultants to sell the products and recruit and train their team, while at the same time maintaining a customer base and sales volume.

Nikken MLM review business consultant

Consultants have various ways to earn money, including retail commissions, team commissions, and bonuses based on rank advancement. They also have the opportunity to earn commissions by selling products at retail prices and keeping the difference between the wholesale and retail prices as their profits.

They also earned commissions based on the sales volume of their entire downline team that they recruited and trained. Nikken also offers bonuses to consultants who achieve the company’s compensation plan structure.

Nikken, just like any other multi-level marketing business model has a high attrition rate with many of their consultants struggling to earn a substantial income due to the competitive nature of the business and the need to consistently recruit new members to sustain their earnings.

Is Nikken A Scam?

Nikken is not a scam, although there have been controversies surrounding MLMs in general, Nikkent is a legitimate business that offers real products to its customer base. There are criticisms that the majority of their consultants earn little to no income.

According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), a huge number of MLM companies earn minimal or no money, with the majority of earnings going to a small percentage of top earners at the highest rank. This is also known as the “pyramid” structure, where the highest earners benefit from the recruitment and sales of those down in the lower chain of ranks.

Another criticism is the emphasis on recruitment in MLMs, which can create a heavy reliance on constantly recruiting new members rather than focusing on selling the actual products. and building a sustainable customer base. Additionally, MLMs, like Nikken requires consultants to purchase products for personal use or to maintain their active status in sales, which can lead to not being able to cover their expenses.

The Pros and Cons of Nikken

The Pros:

  • Unique range of products
  • An established company being in business for over 45 years
  • The ability to earn commissions

The Cons:

  • MLM business model
  • High costs
  • Recruitment pressure
  • have to purchase the products to maintain the level of status
  • Too many Consultant complaints

Any Negatives about Nikken?

I have come up with a few lawsuits that were filed against Nikken.

  1. Class action lawsuit: In 2023 a class action lawsuit was filed against Nikken, alleging that the company operated an illegal pyramid scheme. The lawsuit claimed that consultants were primarily compensated for recruiting new members rather than selling products to customers. Nikken settled the lawsuit for $1.65 million without admitting any wrongdoing.
  2. FDA warning letter. In 2005, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning to Nikken regarding some of its health claims related to its products.
  3. Allegations of Misrepresentation: Former consultants of Nikken have alleged that they were misled about the income potential and the effort required to succeed in the business which results in financial losses.

Any Alternatives to Nikken Business?

Health and wellness is a good niche, and business industry in that one can make a substantial amount of money. there are several alternatives to consider. here are just a few options:

  1. Direct Sales Companies: Direct sales companies look similar to MLMs in that they are involved in selling products directly to customers, but do not have a multi-level marketing structure or a heavy emphasis on recruiting. you earn commissions based on your personal sales without the pressure of building a downline. Examples of these businesses are Avon, doTerra, Young Living, and some other direct-selling companies.
  2. Starting Your Own Business: If you have. passion for health and Wellness products, you can start your own independent business. You can create your own products, such as offering coaching, consulting, or developing your own brand in the health and wellness niche.
  3. Retail Sales: Here you can sell health and wellness products through retail channels, such as a brick-and-mortar store or an online store. You can source products from reputable suppliers, create your own brand, and sell directly to customers without the need for compensation plans and recruiting.
  4. Affiliate Marketing: Now this is my favorite online business model where you promote products or services from other companies and earn a commission for every sale or lead generated through your marketing efforts. this can be done through the website, blog, social media, or other online platforms that I would show you in just a minute.
