Using Social Media To Promote Your Business

If you have been thinking about using social media to promote your business on the Internet, let me offer a few of the ways that work best right now!

It is not hard to do and can be a lot of fun once you get the ball rolling!

Social media was not started originally as a business marketing tool. However, like just about everything on the Internet it does provide various ways to promote your business opportunity, products, or services.

There are programs that teach you exactly how to approach social media, step by step in an easy way. You can see the one I use by clicking here on the banner.

Here they are:

Facebook

Using Social Media To Promote Your Business - Facebook

Facebook is the second most visited site on the Internet right behind Google. The majority of people who use Facebook every day are doing so in a social way and not looking specifically to buy something.

However, there are a couple of ways you can promote your business online with Facebook.

1. Facebook ads. These are the ads you see on your Facebook page that is designed to get you to click on them.

The advertisers are targeting a particular demographic and Facebook is great for providing that to them. Facebook ads are the number one source of income for Facebook, so you know you will get people to click on your ad if it is written well.

2. Passive Promotion. You can set up a Facebook business page specifically to promote something.

You can also refer products and services to your timeline as long as you’re not overdoing it. People are not going to want to be your friend if all they see from you are promotions for something you’re selling.

YouTube

YouTube is the third most visited website online behind Google and Facebook. Google owns this shared video site and is more than happy to help you promote your business when you are adding videos to your marketing mix.Social medial is for everyone

These can be videos that you create and post on your YouTube channel. They can also be videos you are taking and posting the embed code or sharing the link back to the video on your personal blog.

This can be an excellent source of search engine optimization and organic rankings. There’s a skill at creating videos, but you do not have to own a professional camera or be a videographer to do it.

Twitter

What can you say about 280 characters? Evidently a lot! Everyone from the President on down uses Twitter to quickly communicate with their followers.

The key is to build a large following of people who are interested in what you have to say. Then keep in touch on a regular basis.

The other thing is to tweet often. Depending on how many people you are following a tweet can move off page one to page two in a matter of minutes. This is why you need to tweet early and tweet often as they say!

This is a good way for you to combine various forms of social media such as links from your other social accounts and YouTube videos. Starting a blog is not hard to do, and you don’t need any technical knowledge to do it.

You can do it for free on Google’s blogger, or host your own blog like I am doing and use a WordPress template to easily post articles, videos, and graphics. Start with a blog post and then announce it on your other social platforms.

  2. YouTube has been an eye-oopener for me in my campaigns. I never knew about how lucrative utilizing YouTube ads could be until recently. You can get a TON of laser targeted traffic to your site or landing page quick. I have been implementing a lot of PPC and solo-Ads in my campaigns this year, and am very happy with the results. Do you know of any other routes of getting traffic to your site?

  10. Hi! Very nice article! I am trying to find some way for better promotion of my page on facebook. I didn’t find no open groups in my niche. Is it ok to leave posts and links in closed ones?

I like the appearance of of your site, very clean and readable.

    Thank you!

    • Branka,

I would not leave posts in a closed group, that will consider spamming and totally disrespectful. Keep trying there are lots of groups that are open out there, just be respectful of their rules and regulations.

Thanks for the comment about my site, still have more work to do with it. Hope this helps and feel free to contact me if you need further assistance or clarification.

      Cheers.

  11. Hi there

Great article I loved reading it. You do mention youtube and facebook which I use a lot. Which is best will depend on each individual user and their business and niche.

For me facebook get me like zero traction, but fairly easy to go viral, almost methodically on twitter.

Just thought I’d mention, youtube, is great way for your clients to actually see who you are and build trust. Which in how it works on social mendia, point is to be social and not salesy.
