When you do a Google search for “largest marketing forum in the world” The Warrior Forum comes up #1. Why do you think so? They describe themselves as the world’s largest Internet marketing marketplace.

Wikipedia defines an online marketing place this way…..

“An online marketplace (or online e-commerce marketplace) is a type of e-commerce site where product or service information is provided by multiple third parties, whereas transactions are processed by the marketplace operator”.

This says a lot so let’s break it down and see what your approach should be if you are a marketer looking to use forum marketing to accomplish things.

With over 1.2 Million members having made over 8.6 Million posts, you immediately get a feel for just how much action is going on here. I am kind of intrigued by the number of blogs being marketed on The W-Forum as well.

I think a lot of people never even realized you could blog here. This is actually a way to drive traffic to your own blog. Make a partial blog post in the Warrior Forum and include a link to read the rest of the article on your own blog.

One other thing I want to point out is as I research this there are almost 10,000 guests at the forum today that are not registered yet as members. The W-Forum is still growing in the day of alternative social media and can be a good source of marketing for your own blog and products.

Getting Started

Over the years the cost has limited some people from doing certain types of marketing on the Internet. That’s one thing you don’t have to worry about with this Forum.

It’s free to join and you can be as involved as you want to be. The easiest way to get started is to join as a free member, set up your profile, and start getting involved in some of the discussions.

The key point to keep in mind is you never directly market anything in any of the threads you start, or posts you make. That’s a fast way to get yourself banned and get thousands of people jumping all over the top of you.

Don’t worry about how much knowledge you have right now if you’re new to Internet marketing. Start spending some time hanging out in the forum, learning, and joining in on the conversations whenever you feel you have something useful to add.

One thing I do want to point out is the importance of completing your profile in detail. Over time it will be visited by members who just want to learn a little more about you. This is one way you can direct traffic to your blog, website, or social sites.

Signature File

I’m writing a section just in the signature file for one reason. This is where you will do most of your marketing in a very passive way.

The signature file allows you to create what I like to think of as a classified ad. This is just a small section where you can promote anything you want to promote because it’s going to be at the bottom of every post you make.

If you look at some of the most successful marketers on the Warrior Forum you can quickly get a good idea of how to set up a signature file in the right way. One of the most important things I think is that you don’t try to promote too much.

You’re better off using a curiosity approach and just promoting one thing in your signature file. You may want to drive traffic to a special product that you’re promoting, or just drive people to your blog with the goal of getting some of them to bookmark your blog, join your mailing list, or possibly even buy something from it.

Post count is one of the best ways to establish credibility. On the left-hand side of each post, you make you will see your post count. You also will see your join date, times you have thanked someone and times you have been thanked, and your location if you want it listed.

Your post count is a sign of how active you are and builds your credibility as it grows. Your posts are archived so they can be found in weeks, or even years to come and can be a source of ongoing traffic even when you are not active.

The other thing to keep in mind is to add quality to your posts. Just making little one-sentence posts is a sign of someone trying to build their post count and it turns people off.

Final thoughts
