A few years ago, I read a comment from Perry Marshall that went something like this….. “Making money online is easy. Find something someone needs or wants and sell it to them for a profit”. Why do we always try to complicate things, right?
There are a couple of different ways to approach this.
1. Sell low-cost items in volume to make more money.
2. Sell high-cost items with fewer sales to make the same amount of money.
What is the big variable?
Your commission rate, or the amount you are earning per sale. If you are selling your own product, you keep all of the money after you pay your overhead. If you are selling someone else’s products, let’s say as an affiliate marketer, you will earn commission rates anywhere from 1% to 80%, depending on the affiliate program you are in.
Selling digital products earns you a higher commission rate than selling physical products usually. There are other advantages and disadvantages of selling digital and physical products.

Selling products in the diet or nutrition niche is always going to be in demand. People are constantly starting and stopping diets or looking for new and better ways to eat more healthily.
One of the things I like about selling Paleo Bars is you are not selling a diet fad that will go out of style as soon as the next diet becomes more popular. The Paleo Diet is based on eating what humans ate 15,000 years ago. The short story of the Paleo Diet does not eat anything processed.

This one is hard for me to believe, but it is true. I read about a guy who started his own Amazon Fulfillment business and decided to try selling horses’ head masks.
I am not talking about just Halloween. He sells them all long year long and is earning a profit of over $1k a day!
Who would’ve ever thought of this niche? This is a great example of finding a non-competitive niche and selling a product people want at a profit for you.
4. Books
There was a time when it looked like ebooks might really hurt hardback and paperback book sales. The Internet has hurt retail sales in all ways, including bookstores such as Barnes & Noble.
However, book sales have not declined and are actually on the rise. Some people like to hold a book and read it away from their computer or tablet.

You can sell products online with your own website or blog. You can also sell products online with an affiliate sales page you are given when you join an affiliate program.

Both can be a source for you to sell products online. So can Craigslist or having your own website or blog.
